Wondergirls American TV Debut

Posted by Serendipity Thursday, July 23, 2009

The five member girl group is worming its way to the American audience as they made their television debut in American via The Wendy Show.

They performed their number hit, "Nobody". Here's the video:

By now I think every kpop knows that the Wondergirls was Jonas Brothers frontact for their World Tour and the girls are busy singing Nobody to the Americans. They even taught the audience the dance crazy.

It was easier for the girls to build a rapport with the audience since some of them really are fluent in the English language.

Check out this performance of Nobody at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

2NE1's 2nd Single "I Don't Care" Music Video

2NE1 is back again with another hot single, "I Don't Care". This one is a little bit softer than their fierce debut single, "Fire", but it has all the signs of making a lasting shot on the numbet spot in the charts.

Fire was a huge hit and I Don't Care will undoubtedly be bigger.

Here's the official music video:

Shinee's Juliette Makes it to #1

Posted by Serendipity Friday, July 10, 2009

Juliette did grab the number spot in some music charts thereby having a successful single from their newest album who has plenty of remakes. Shinee just keep on shining. Hopefully there would be more original songs from them.

2NE1's Fire Domination at Inkigayo

Posted by Serendipity Monday, June 22, 2009

The new girl group 2NE1 is dominating the pop scene as they were awarded twice for their debut song FIRE at SBS Inkigayo.

I am no longer surprised at this feat since they are quite different from the rest of the girl groups around. They got the vocals, the groove and the attitude. Deadly combination. YG really has the midas touch in getting incredible talents. Just like Big Bang, 2NE1 is surely going to raise the roof on fire.

Here are their amazing performances at Inkigayo:

They won twice already for the most popular song. Are we going to see a third award?

Big Bang Japan Activities

Top korean boy group Big Bang is going back and forth to Japan and Korea as they focus on promoting their single My Heaven to try and make it on top in Japan's Music market. At first it their leader G-Dragon who was featured in W-inds single as he provided the rapping for the group.

Then later on, the group released their Japanese version of My Heaven along with a music video. Then they went on to introduce Katy Perry in Japan MTV Awards for 2009. Now they are rounding the TV shows in Japan as they grant interviews.

More music videos and new singles will be release later specifically made for the Japanese audience.

2NE1 Version of Big Bang's We Belong Together

Posted by Serendipity Tuesday, June 2, 2009

2NE1 just did a cover of Big Bang's We Belong Together in Park Kyung Lim's Radio show and suprisingly it was nice. It has a different vibe into it. This girl group is so different from the others that I believe they will make it on top.

I am starting to like them.

BigBang's My Heaven

YG Entertainment finally released Big Bang's My Heaven, the Japanese version. The whole video focused more on G-Dragon as he got most of the screen time. It is not surprising since he is indeed their leader.

I do envy the Japanese Girl. She gets to kiss him although it was not really shown on the video only an insinuation but still anything close to that...

Anyway, here's the video:

G-Dragon Raps on W-inds Album

Posted by Serendipity Friday, May 8, 2009

G-Dragon who is currently on vacation in Europe took part on the newest album of a Japanese group called W-inds. He was asked to do the rap part of their newest single. He was also featured in the music video. The new single Rain Is Falling which will is scheduled to be released on May 13.

W-inds is a Japanese pop group who was the 2006 Mnet MTV Music Festival Best Asia Pop Artist and was chosen as the 2008 Best Asian Singer Awardee during the 5th Asia Song Festival.

Both groups will benefit from this collaboration as the lead singer of the group featured BigBang in his very own blog. G-Dragon's participation on the single and MV would definitely spark interest on the Japanese group.

They are the female duo who were on the number top spot of all the k-pop charts recently with their addictive single 8282.

Lee Hae-ri and Kamng Min-kyung gained public attention when the music video of their debut song, "I Love You Even Though I Hate you" which featured Korean superstars Lee Hyori and Lee Mi Yeon in their sexy provocative images.

The viewers were so amazed to discover that the duo has amazing vocals.

G-Dragon Is In Europe

Posted by Serendipity Wednesday, April 29, 2009

The hard working leader of Big Bang is currently in Europe for a much needed vacation. Apparently, G-Dragon whose real name is Kwon Ji Yong is suffering from a slight depression recently due to non-stop work as an artist, music collaborator and music producer.

YG Entertainment who manages Big Bang's career recently released a statement about it since fans were waiting for his solo album that was scheduled to be released this first quarter of the year. It seems that due to the situation his album will be released on a later part of the year.

YG President said that he analyzed GD's condition and he believe that he needed counseling plus a lot of rest since he was stressed for overseeing a lot of activities for his solo album, his group and other things as well not to mention the issues about his music compositions with other musicians in their very own group.

He urged GD to take a rest and go and enjoy Europe for 8 days. If you have been following this guy's history, he has been working so hard long before his debut and so it is just fitting that he gets a much needed vacation. I am a fan and so I was hoping to see him gone for even a month. The guy truly deserves it.

However, it seems that there are so many activities that are lined up for his group that cannot be avoided such as they are also about to make an appearance in MTV Music Awards in Japan this 2009.

More power to G-Dragon and hopefully he'll be back with a better perspective and a well rested body.

Boa To Perform in Japan MTV 2009

Japan MTV 2009 organizers invited Boa to perform in the upcoming MTV Music Awards in Japan this year. This time she will perform alongside Sean Garett who collaborated with her in her single I Did It For Love.

The 23-yr old artist who is busy with conquering the western audience is looking pretty good these days and so when the Japanese media asked what is her beauty secret she responded, "A filled stomach", meaning she's happy when she's not hungry. She also revealed that she loves to eat noodles. If only all of us who loves to eat noodles will look just as fit as her, I'll eat it everyday.

Lollipop: Big Bang and 2NE1 Collaboration

Posted by Serendipity Wednesday, April 22, 2009

Lollipop is a song sung by Big Bang and the newest korean girl group called 2NE1 (Twenty One). They will make their official debut in April/May of this year. The moment the song came out it created so much buzz and was included in the k-pop charts but it was removed since it is more of a commercial or ad song for LG rather than just a song.

2NE1 is the female version of Big Bang under YG Entertainment.

The song is catchy and addictive. The music video is so colorful and sweet just like the candy.

K-POP Music

Posted by Serendipity

This is Korean Pop tunes. I recently got into the K-POP world and it is now dominating my music world. The latest in the k-pop scene: news, artists, music videos, mp3's, bio's, and anything that shakes the k-pop scene. However since this is a personal blog, it is but natural that you get to see more of my favorite bands and singers. Although, in the news segment anything that's on the cyber headlines will end up there whether I like the artist or not.

Peace!
